Apple says 5 million iPhone 5 units sold in three days

The official report on the sales of the iPhone 5 claims to have sold as many as five million units over the weekend. Since its launch on September 21, in just three days, the figure has reached such a staggering height. Apart from that Apple also said that they have updated at least 100 million iOS gadgets with iOS 6.
The demand for the phone has been phenomenal and the company is trying to make every customer an iPhone 5 owner at the earliest, who wish to own one. The primary stock of the units has been sold off already and the stores are filled with more demands for the Smartphone.

In the first phase of the release, the phone has been made available in UK, US, Hong Kong, Australia, France, Japan, Canada, Singapore and Germany. By Friday, the phone will be accessible to at least 22 countries. That will also naturally boost the sales, which are already rocketing.
Before the year ends, the Smartphone will have reached more than 100 countries. So, most of the customers are likely to get their share of the pie sooner than later.
