Shocking: 250 iPhone 5 devices stolen from a London store

In one of the most shocking and unfortunate incidents regarding the sales of iPhone 5 in London, around 250 iPhone 5 units have been stolen. Incidentally, all these units were put on sale. So now the store is left without even a single unit of iPhone 5. The police are smelling something fishy and wish to interrogate the O2 shop assistant.
The O2 Store is in the Tandem Centre in Colliers Wood close to Wimbledon. As a matter of fact, the booty was stolen just hours before it was to be put on sale. The cost of these 250 iPhones is estimated to be in the region of £100,000, which equates to Rs 87 lakh approximately.

Queues were already seen for the iPhone 5 on the day on the launch itself. The phone was up for sale in Asia, Australia and Europe. The demand for the phone was so huge that according to Apple, they had booked orders amounting to two million in number in just 24 hours flat - certainly loads of demand.
It is an estimate that the company could sell as many as 10 million units of the iPhone 5 in the rest of the month. That could boost the US economy by as much as $3.2 billion – the amount is equivalent to the entire economy of a nation like Fiji.
