Apple is likely to bring in $500 iPhones

Apple – the technology giant is working on iPhones that would cost as low as only $500. It is expected to be a cheaper version of the current iPhone in the market. The iPhone is likely to release by the middle of 2013. There are reports doing the rounds of the various media that Apple is pretty serious about this new iPhone.
Image: Apple.com
There are a couple of reasons why the Smartphone may cost that low. The first reason is that the material used in the new iPhone would be polycarbonate plastic, which will bring the cost down as the input costs are low. That is why there should be a lot of demand from those people who want to purchase an iPhone, but cannot due to the high costs.
Some experts in the industry are terming the new iPhone in the wings as ‘iPhone Mini’. The size of the iPhone will be a tad smaller than the current one, which will also help in reducing the price. However, it is interesting to note that Apple has not made any comments on these reports. So, these are all guessing games at the moment.

Apple working on the next iPhone

Smartphone giant Apple is said to be busy working on their next iPhone. These are not just rumors but have some concrete base. Along with the iPhone, the company is also busy checking the newer version of their iOS software. It was a very positive development for the company which helped the shares of Apple go up.
The Nasdaq stock exchange saw the Apple shares go up by as much as 4.3%. The app developers have spotted through the apps reference log, the orientation of a novel iPhone identifier, iOS 7 operating system as well as iPhone 6.1.
The identifier for the iPhone 5 is iPhone 5.1 and iPhone 5.2, while it is powered by operating system iOS 6.
The developer logs indicate that the requests that are coming have a certain origin. This is tracked to the Cupertino campus, which suggests that the engineers at the Apple center are currently testing compatibility for some of the popular apps.
It should be noted that the device data as well as the OS can be counterfeit. However, the IPs are unique and can be effective in deciding if the developments are indeed factual.

Samsung Galaxy S3 overtakes Apple iPhone

The fight between Samsung Galaxy S3 and Apple iPhone seems to be a never-ending affair. It was a sort of victory for Samsung for the third quarter. For a brief while, it was the Samsung product that proved to be the Smartphone model with the highest sells in the world, overtaking Apple.
The Smartphone from Samsung go the better of iPhone 4 as well as 4S as far as the sales are concerned. However, with the iPhone 5 doing extremely well in the markets all over the world, the cushioning Samsung has secured might not last too long. Apple is certain to bounce back with their latest Smartphone.
The sales figures for the Apple device are humongous. Until Q3, the company had sold around 6 million units worldwide. Keeping that in mind, the sales of the Apple gadget are likely to overtake Samsung’s Galaxy S3 anytime during the fourth quarter.
If things fall as expected, the title of the most popular and well-accepted Smartphone will go to Apple.

Samsung, that has become the highest phone producer in the world, brought the phone out in the month of May. It was very early and in fact, well within time as the company had started to ship the latest and the newest version of the phone.
If the sales of this version are compared with the previous one, the sales of the Galaxy S III are faster and higher as far as the volume of time is concerned. The difference in the time slab is about nine months. That is a huge difference in the world of Smartphones and technology.
It took about 14 months for the Galaxy S II to reach the figure of 30 million sales. In the period from July to September, Samsung sold about 56.3 million Smartphones versus as against 26.9 million units from Apple. The figures are curtsey IDC – a research firm.

Apple comes up with the biggest Asia store

After the grand success of Apple iPhone 5, the company has come up with their biggest store in the Asia region. The new store is located in Beijing. The store is a three-storey building. There were hundreds of people in the complex. There is no doubt that the US company is not underestimating China in any way and gives it the importance it deserves.
The store falls on the shopping street at Wangfujing and is spread across a whopping 24,750 sq. feet (2300 sq. meters). It should be noted that after their home country, Apple seen China as the second biggest market. No wonder, they do have the largest store there. Let us not forget the fact that Apple had to face criticism for their conditions the way products are manufactured in China.
When the store opened on Saturday morning at 0100 GMT, the entire building was quickly flooded with customers. That is not all; there were about 100 people who were patiently waiting for their turn to enter the new store. The new store is the official store of the company and is the sixth in mainland China.
The popularity of Apple and Apple products was experienced in the recent past when people literally jostled to grab the latest Smartphone from the company.

Apple cannot hold the copyright for tablet; loses against Samsung

In an important ruling Apple has lost against Samsung an important copyright appeal over the design Samsung was accused of copying. The ruling could potentially put an end to the legal fight between the two giant firms that spread almost all across Europe. The fight was over the patent for Smartphones as well as tablets.
Image: osxdaily.com
The Court of Appeal in the UK did not reverse the decision taken by the High Court earlier that though there were some types of similarities between the designs of the phones by the two companies, the Galaxy Tablet from Samsung did not gatecrash the designs made by Apple because the Samsung products weren’t ‘cool’.
The decision stands for the entire Europe. So this means, there would be no legalities involved between the two manufacturers as far as the design is concerned for the European region. There were no comments from Apple as yet. That is not all. Apple has to also carry out ads in some selected newspapers as well as their web site that Samsung didn’t copy their designs.
There was enthusiasm in the Samsung camp saying that Apple wasn’t the first company to design a table that carried rounded corners to a rectangular shaped gadget.

Google might bring Google Maps for Apple App Store soon

The Apple Maps app was probably the first ever failure for the company on such a huge scale and they are finding options for the app. However, Google may rope in the Google Maps for Apple App Store. It is expected that it may materialize sooner than later, probably this year itself. The release of iOS 6 saw the phone coming with pre-loaded maps app from Apple.
The decision of the company to do without Google Maps has proved to be on the negative front. There are loads of negative comments and complaints about the same. The reason is that there is a high amount of inaccuracies. However, Google might bring the Google Maps for Apple App Store.
According to the sources in the industry, Google was busy with the work of releasing the Maps app for the iOS gadets. Steve Troughton Smith, who is the iOS developer, confirmed the reports. If the latest reports are to be believed, Google may come up with the launch sometime before Christmas.
Apple had also brought out a statement replying to the complaints they were getting from the users and customers. The new app had come with an iOS 6 update. Apple was of the view that when more and more people will use it, the better it will be getting.
There will be newer features like the Siri integration and Flyover along with the turn by turn navigation. The features used in Siri as well as the traffic are available only in a few countries.

The iPhone 5 is one of the best dished out products from the house of Apple yet. The gadget is made entirely out of glass and aluminium. Those who are well-acquainted with these types of phones might have marked a big difference among the features of the new iOS. Initially, there were Google Maps in the Apple phones, but now the new maps will come from Apple itself.
The new Apple phone will be a 4” wonder with 326ppi Retina Display. The pixel resolution of the phone is 1136 X 640. You can find GPRS, EV-DO, EDGE, HSPA+, HSPA apart from Wi-Fi and LTE. For wireless transfer the Bluetooth sits pretty in the iPhone 5.

Apple comes forward with battery charging issues in iPad 3

There have been a host of problems for Apple for its iPad 3 like the over-heating issue and the Wi-fi connectivity, the battery charging issue being one of them. In fact, it has been around two months that Apple is facing the heat of the battery problems. But after iOS 5 was introduced, devices powered with iOS were facing awful battery problems. Apple had to jump in to solve them.
But the iOS 5.1 release has given a new lease of life to the devices. The Apple users will be glad to know that their device now gets too support from the battery. But Apple had hardly come out of the crisis when another was waiting for them – again regarding the battery charging.
Ray Soneira an analyst from DisplayMate, during the testing discovered that the battery was not charged entirely and yet the indicator showed 100%. Mr. Michael Tchao, who is the Vice President of iPad Marketing, said that it is a feature and not a glitch that allows one to keep the device plugged in as long as one liked.
Now that should be enough to put all the concerns to rest.

WiFi connectivity problems for Apple iPad 3

We have been constantly reporting to you about the launch, the prices, the sales and the over-heating problems in Apple iPad 3. However, we hadn’t’ spoken about the WiFi connectivity. Actually this is the latest problem the Apple iPad 3 is facing.Customers have left their comments on the Apple Support Communities Web site voicing their experiences.
According to the customers, they do not get the same type of wireless connectivity on the new iPad whereas the same was possible on smartphones, laptops and such similar gadgets.
Some of the commentators have even gone on to say that they would be soon returning the device back to Apple. These are some serious thought-provoking developments for Apple. Apple however hasn’t yet replied back to these comments.
Apple has until now only responded back to the heat problem saying that the iPad 3 was within the thermal specifications.

The new Apple iPad emits more heat says test

The new Apple iPad is damn hot – well we are not talking about the sex appeal of the latest Apple gadeget, but take the literal meaning of ‘hot’. A test conducted on the iPad 3 has revealed that it reaches temperature of 47 degrees when it is used for around three quarters of an hour.
It was noted when an action game was played on the device and the temperatures reached 47 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature recorded with the iPad 2 was 36 degree Celsius. It is almost a conclusion now that the iPad 3 is not comfortable when it comes to longer duration usage.
The findings were courtesy the tests conducted by Consumer Reports. The game with which the amount of heat of the gadget was counted was Infinity Blade II.
Apple has however claimed that the recently launched iPad was within the range of the thermal specifications – the range of which has been specified between 0 degrees Celsius and 35 degrees Celsius. Consumer Reports looked into the matter when they read various comments about the extreme heat the gadget has been emanating.

Apple sells three million units of new iPads

Over the weekend, since its launch on March 16, Apple sold around three million units of new iPads. The figures have been mentioned in the statement issued by the company. These figures have given the tag of the ‘strongest iPad launch’ ever since the iPad started their sales in the market.
The new iPad certainly stands for much more than just what its predecessors dished out before. Enhanced display, wireless connectivity that is faster than ever before, improved RAM along with the processing power makes the new iPad a gadget to own.
When the product was launched, the critics almost immediately claimed that the device didn’t have enough in it and would certainly ‘fail to surprise’ the end users. However, with the history of numbers is on Apple’s side.
The company has in fact sold around thrice as many units as it did with the iPad 2 and about 10 times as the first iPad did when it was sold on the first day.

Apple iPad prices likely to cross the $700 mark

It is being strongly anticipated that the latest iPads from Apple is likely to cross the $700 as the price tag. The rise is as high as 19%. As the market share of the iPad is enumerated, there could be bright chances that the prices could rise in the coming days.
Some of the analysts are looking forward to the price of the iPad to be in the region of $710. However, the average price was around $100 short and rested at $605. Apple iPads have always dominated the market share and that is why most of the competitors have got weaker overtime.
One such prominent example is that of the Hewlett-Packard Co. HP tried to give a futile fight to Apple with their own tablets, PCs and Smartphones. However, it saw very little success to their credit. Actually the company’s shares have gone down by as much as 41% in the last year.
The latest product from the house of the tech giant will come with a sharper and brighter display, an enhanced processor, apart from superior networking capabilities.
The upgraded Apple iPads are scheduled to go on sales from Friday – March 16.

Customers pre-ordering the iPad need to wait longer

There are many customers who have pre-ordered the iPad with a view to avoiding the crowds when the iPad actually releases. The release day of the iPad is expected to pull more crowds. The latest edition of the tablet that was unveiled some days ago, will hit the market this coming Friday.
However, the tablets that have already been ordered online will have to wait for at least three days more. The tablets cannot be shipped until Monday – March 19. This has officially been reported on the web site of Apple. This is entirely opposite of what the company had promised to ship the tablet on the same day when it is launched.
There were reasons to make these sudden changes, however. According to the company statement, the stock set aside especially for the pre-order got exhausted quickly and forced the company helpless to ship the tablet on March 16 – the launch day.
Apple has been having a hard time contending the demands of the customers. This is the second instance in the year when Apple has failed to make the products available as promised. It was earlier in January this year, when Apple could not being selling the iPhone 4S on time in Beijing, China.

Apple Likely to Retain Hold of the Tablet Market

Even if there are the Windows 8 compatible products, Apple may not lose their grip on the tablet market, it is being predicted. There are the 4G enabled iPads which will be making their way in the market presently. Apple is also in competition with Amazon's Kindle Fire with its iPad 2 that will come with a cheaper price tag.
Apple unveiled the upgraded version of its popular iPad. The upgrade includes a power-packed chip than before, an HD screen, an easy access to an improved wireless network that supports high-speed.
Mark Moskowitz, who is an analyst at JP Morgan Securities, said that Apple has the ability to manufacture devices with higher screen resolution, integrate the 4G LTE and augment the graphics capabilities. The best part of this all is that the company hasn’t compromised on the battery life at all.
This makes Apple a force to reckon with in the tablet market the world over and keeps it in front of its competitors. The share for Apple is increasing and this latest upgraded version will only add to its market share which is likely to reach 66% by the end of this year.

Apple will launch the iPad3 on March 7

Come March 7, Apple Inc will be holding a product event in San Francisco. The event is organized for releasing the third generation of the iPad tablet computer. The iPad tablet computer happens to be the best-selling gadget from the house of Apple. There is a lot of excitement in the world of technology regarding the iPad launch.
The gadget will carry a screen with high-definition display. Users will experience a super soft touch screen with the new iPad3. A relatively faster processor will carry out the tasks for you like never before. Wireless networks will ensure that you can remain in touch with the outside world without any fuss.
No doubt, there is a stiff competition in the market. But after gaining the tag of being the pioneer in the field of the tablet market about a couple of years ago, there are a lot of hopes pinned on the new gadget. Though the company has been successful in selling slightly more than 55 million units and generating $34.5 billion as revenue, competition is still healthy.
Apple Inc’s closest rival is the Amazon.com Inc’s Kindle Fire. The Kindle Fire also uses the Android operating system.

However, in spite of the tough competition, Apple is likelyto top the sales charts in the tablet market.

Will Apple Mountain Lion bring Apple products together?

The increasing competition always makes the manufacturers come up with something new. The Mountain Lion is the new brand software from the house of Apple. The Mountain Lion is feature packed software that is expected to bridge the gap between the user and the iOS and the software on iPad and iPhone. In fact, it will take you even closer to the iOS.
Apple happens to be the largest Smartphone producer in the world. Compared to their dominance in this category, they have very little to speak about their computer market. The Mountain Lion is an effort to string together the iPhones, iPads and the PCs.
Mountain Lion is inclusive of features and apps that were once considered the sole ‘property’ of the mobile phones. It includes “Reminders”, “Messages”, “Notification Center” among others. One of the key features is the iCloud.
When you begin with Mountain Lion, the software prompts the user to enter the credentials. This makes data transfer like notes, event reminders extremely easy to be shared among the Apple gadgets. For example, if you have set a birthday reminder or iPad or iPhone, it will be visible in the app in Mountain Lion on the Mac. Rightly so, Apple now terms the OS as OS X, in place of the Mac OS X.
The OS X Mountain Lion is expected to make its appearance this summer. So get set for the magic.
