Nokia has been facing a horrid time in the market. And now as
they are going to launch the Smartphone, they have decided to cut down on the
prices already. The cut is expected to be anywhere between 10% and 15%. The prices
will be brought down on the top two models in the Smartphone range.

The price cut is done in the hope of boosting the sales. The price
of Lumia 800 was cut by around 15% and that of Lumia 900 by 10%. The price cut
has been brought into effect for the European region. This month the company has
already launched a couple of Lumia phones – the Lumia 820 and the Lumia 920.

Experts and buffs in the field take this launch as one of the
most important for the company and feel that the very existence of Nokia is
based on these two phones. However, the phones can be brought in the market
only in November. That means the company has to make do with the older phones
for the entire October, which might prove to be a challenging task.
Life has indeed been tough for Nokia. The company has lost as
many as $3.86 billion in a year and a half. Moreover, Nokia also had to face
tough competition from other companies and fell behind in the race.
