Review
Acer has
always dominated the netbook segment in the world of technology. The new launch
is targeted at having a device that will the features of a notebook and a
tablet. The device will be powered by the second generation Intel®CoreTMprocessor
family. The performance of the Aspire S3 will be a thing to watch. It will have
a tremendous sensitivity and is aimed at energy efficiency.
The gadget
is capable of proving a battery backup of 7 hours. As talked about the energy
efficiency, it can come back to life in only 1.5 seconds from the sleep mode. For
better savings, it can also be sent in the Deep Sleep mode. But from the Deep
Sleep mode, it will consume 6 seconds to resume work. The internet connection time
was as fast as only 2.5 seconds.
Apart from
the performance, the company is looking to advocate the device as a multimedia
unit too. The Intel® HD Graphics 3000 finds its place in the hood. The device
also comes with Dolby® Home Theater® v4. It gives you a virtual experience of
watching the movies in the huge cinema halls.
The misunderstanding
Many people
misunderstand the term ‘Ultrabook’ for a device that can fill the void of an
under-powered netbook and an entire notebook. But take care when you use these words,
because ‘Ultrabook’ is the official trademark of Acer.
